Share of Cost, Turning to Super Glue to Fix Teeth.

Thursday, Mar. 3rd 2016 6:26 AM

With the economy going down health experts worry that people are cutting back on their dental work because they do not have the money.  One such example would be a woman in Colorado that uses super glue to keep her teeth from falling out. Stating she can not afford dental care and even though she has dental insurance the max limitation is only a $1000 which does not help her on a $8000 plus dental bill. But, because she has dental insurance she is not eligible for dental assistance.

There is no question that the economy can be bad for many people. That is why preventive dental care is even more important. So is buying the right dental insurance plan to fit your needs. If you need extensive dental care buying or having a plan that as a low maximum limitation may not make the best sense. Talk to a dentist then talk to a dental insurance agent if you need help finding the right dental insurance plan for you and or your family.

Tuesday, Mar. 1st 2016 7:00 AM

Genes play a crucial role over time although environmental factors matter most in the short term, according to a major study into social anxiety and avoidant personality disorders from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.

“The results show a surprisingly high heritability of the long-term risk of developing social anxiety,” says Fartein Ask Torvik, a researcher in the Department of Genetics, Environment and Mental Health at the institute.

It has long been known that both genetics and the environment play a role in the development of social anxiety, but researchers have been previously unaware of the strong effect of genetic factors over time.

Share of Cost, Can a Nursing Home Evict You for Being “Difficult”? Know Your Rights

Wednesday, Feb. 3rd 2016 6:02 AM

Can a nursing home evict you for being “too difficult”, limit the hours your family and friends can come visit, or deny you needed physical therapy services because you’re not improving? The answer to all of these questions is a big NO. Yet many people are uninformed of their rights when in a nursing home, which creates the right environment for some nursing homes to get away with activities that are both illegal and harmful to residents.
